Beguiling Blockage
Pentominoes are arrangements of five squares. Each square must abut at least one other square along a complete side. The twelve possible arrangements are shown below. In solving most puzzles, including the following one, the tiles may be flipped over.

Incredible as it might seem, it is possible to place four of the 12 pentominoes in the grid below, keeping within grid lines and squares, and block the placement of any of the remaining eight tiles. Go figure!
